Rock Oil is a private, family-owned UK company, established since 1928. Celebrating 80 years in business. In 1993 Rock Oil expanded by acquiring A E Bennett & Co; (Viscol brand) established in 1861. And in 2000 further expanded by the acquisition of Nickerson Lubricants (Nilube brand) established in 1919. Rock Oil continues to be a family run business.

Although famous for motor sport, the company's major activities are in the automotive, construction, industrial, commercial, marine, agricultural, textile and leisure markets. World Championship winning performances in motor sport have led to blending and manufacturing lubricants for some of the world's top motorcycle, car and engine manufacturers.
